As Project Manager, Juan oversees the work of our engineering team, providing guidance for calculations and design drawings to ensure every project meets JG standards and building code requirements. Acting as a true partner to clients, he maintains clear communication at every stage of the project, effectively managing cost considerations, schedules and client expectations.

After more than 10 years with structural engineering firms, Juan wanted a different perspective within the construction industry and took a role as a Structural Plan Examiner for the City of Fort Lauderdale in 2019. He saw the structural engineering process from inside a municipality’s world, broadening his understanding of how project disciplines think and work differently.

As part of the Jezerinac Group team, he’s returned to the structural engineering services side, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and municipal project insight, along with extensive experience with key materials. His specialty is post tensioned concrete slab design—having designed or overseen design of more than 1 million square feet of building in South Florida using this system. Those structures range from low-rise to high-rise (25+ story) multi-family and hospitality uses. He also has deep experience in precast hollow-core plank floor systems, using it in the designs of more than 500,000 square feet of hotels across Florida.

Juan received both his B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Structural Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a LEED Accredited Professional – USGBC Florida and a member of the Florida Board of Professional Engineers.
