University of South Florida Football Stadium

Jezerinac Group is proud to serve as the Engineer of Record for the University of South Florida’s groundbreaking project: the construction of a $324 million, 35,000-seat on-campus stadium. Designed to host both football and lacrosse programs, this state-of-the-art facility is set to become a focal point for students, alumni, and fans alike.

For years, the University has aspired to bring an on-campus stadium to its community. With this project, they aim to not only meet but exceed expectations. The key objective has been to deliver a facility befitting the ambitions of a rising Power-5 program while adhering to budget constraints. To achieve this, a design-build delivery method was selected, emphasizing value maximization for every dollar invested.

Jezerinac Group is providing highly economical structural solutions without compromising aesthetics. Our team opted for a precast concrete system throughout the entire seating bowl. Through rigorous structural analysis and optimization, we not only ensured structural integrity but also identified cost efficiencies, making the precast system the preferred choice. Foundations for the stadium is a combination of deep and shallow systems, strategically utilizing deep foundations only where essential. The superstructure predominantly features structural steel frames, including composite structural steel framing for floors. This approach not only enhances structural integrity, but also accelerates construction timelines, resulting in additional cost savings.

Throughout the project lifecycle, our design-build team conducts formal pricing and value engineering exercises at key milestones. This proactive approach ensures that the University receives the highest quality facility at the optimal finish level, aligning with their aspirations and budgetary constraints. As the University’s football and lacrosse programs prepare for a new era, this iconic stadium will serve as a lasting symbol of their growth, spirit, and commitment to excellence.
