Jezerinac Group provided a feasibility study, structural design, and threshold inspections for the 11,190 SF vertical expansion to the existing Lee Health Cape Coral Hospital ICU in Cape Coral, Florida.
Our scope of services ran through all phases from conceptual pre-planning and feasibility through design and construction. The expansion was achieved with minimal impacts on the existing building to integrate the ICU expansion into the existing infrastracture of the facility, enhancing the hospital’s capacity to provide exceptional patient care while minimizing disruptions to operations. Our project scope involved assessment and evaluation of the existing structure to accommodate the added loads due to the proposed expansion, including review of existing drawings and original design constraints to confirm feasibility and establish the structural scheme of the final project. Through the subsequent phases of the project, we leveraged our extensive experience to simplify potentially complicated expansion conditions, resulting in a cost-effective structure. Jezerinac Group further contributed towards the delivery of this project by serving as the threshold inspector to verify conformance of the construction with design intent and contract documents, providing additional value to the owner and streamlining communication between contractor and design team during the construction phase.
