Naples Bay Resort and Marina

Nestled around a marina boasting approximately 100 boat slips, the undertaking exemplifies meticulous planning and community collaboration. Our design approach adeptly addressed challenges, employing a variety of structural systems, including hollowcore slabs with masonry bearing walls, post-tensioned concrete slabs supported on piles, and innovative hinged slabs on grade to mitigate potential settling variations in problematic soil conditions, ensuring both stability and longevity.

Situated at 1500 5th Avenue South, Naples, FL, the Naples Bay Marina is a mid-rise, multi-use project in downtown Naples, featuring five three-story buildings over parking. The development encompasses a resort hotel, various restaurants, retail shops, offices, condominiums, and a marina. The structural framework consists of post-tensioned concrete flat plates supported on concrete columns and shear walls with pile foundations. The ground floor employs a pile-supported structural slab on grade, and retaining walls separating the marina from the building are seamlessly integrated into the overall design. Some of the condominium buildings utilized precast hollowcore concrete planks instead of post-tensioned concrete slabs. The Naples Bay Resort and Marina stands out as a distinctive landmark, seamlessly blending modern architecture, functionality, and structural resilience into a remarkable mixed-use destination.
