As Associate, Andy oversees every step of the design process—coordinating with architects, managing a team of engineers, reviewing drawings and serving as liaison with clients. Not to mention jumping in to execute a structural design when needed! Along with a deep understanding of building codes and material design standards, Andy brings a genuine enthusiasm for designing structures, preparing construction documents, and writing and editing specifications. Structural analysis is an area of focus for Andy, having taught the Mechanics of Engineering Structures course during his time at University of Florida. He sees an opportunity currently within the industry to close the gap between building codes and ensuring owners receive proper guidance to keep existing structures safe and maintained.

As a leader on Jezerinac Group’s engineering team, Andy has provided structural analysis and design for many high-profile projects. That includes the upgrade of the environmental controls system at Launch Complex 39B at Kennedy Space Center—a project that required meeting NASA’s thorough documentation standards. As part of the fast-track F3 Marina project, Andy produced construction documents for the foundations and 1,900-ton structural steel superstructure in less than three months, coordinated contract negotiations and managed the structural steel connection design.

Andy holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa and an M.S. in Structural Engineering from University of Florida.
