JW Marriott Resort and Spa

THE PROJECT: The JW Marriott Resort and Spa project was an ambitious fast-track project. $56 million worth of construction was completed in just 90 days. The hotel is one of JW Marriott’s most profitable properties within their portfolio. However, the extensive renovations required a full shutdown of hotel operations in order to execute the extensive renovations and enhancements. Altogether, the scope of work encompassed the structural renovations of the hotel lobby, kitchen, restaurant, cooling towers, and porte-cochere entryway.

Taking on the challenge of renovating an existing structure introduced a unique set of challenges and complexities. In the case of this project, the addition of office space in a below-grade area required intricate planning and precision. Our comprehensive assessment of the existing building pre-excavation needed to be exceptionally precise. It entailed incorporating meticulous planning for self-shored trenches to support the expansion.

OUR SOLUTION: Our adept engineering team at Jezerinac Group provided a variety of comprehensive services. Most important, the team implemented each step with precision, including stringent safety measures, structural design, threshold inspections, and the balcony repairs and remodeling. Countless hours were put into analyzing and modifying existing structures to accommodate the new construction. Through close collaboration with the architect and builder, our team collectively devised innovative solutions to address the complexities that were put in place in real time.
