Plant Riverside District

Getting to the bottom of water intrusion

THE PROJECT:  The project consisted of re-purposing an existing power plant, originally constructed in the early 1900s. The plant was transformed into a multi-story luxury waterfront hotel, featuring a host of modern amenities. Unfortunately, the basement of the structure had experienced almost constant water intrusion since its original construction despite numerous attempts at repairing the issue.

OUR SOLUTION:  We were called in as a Location Structural Consultant to investigate the existing basement waterproofing system within this historic downtown hotel. Through thorough inspection and analysis, we provided cause and origin of the water intrusion issue and consulted on remediation.
