Ritz-Carlton West Palm Manalapan

THE PROJECT: Jezerinac Group undertook the structural design and conducted field observations for the construction of a 40,000 sq. ft. spa and six-story tower containing guest suites. The objective was integrate the design within the existing Ritz-Carlton West Palm Beach (now the Eau Palm Beach) resort. We also performed extensive renovations on the pre-existing structures, including the construction of a new slab over the existing structure, which was built atop an old tennis court.

OUR SOLUTION: In order to ensure the proper support for the new spa that was being constructed on top of the resort’s existing tennis deck, the team worked to devise an effective solution. The result allowed us to be able to repurpose columns and foundations, simultaneously reducing the total load of new construction. This approach was aimed at ensuring the new construction did not exceed capacity of the older foundations.
